Product Overview

MetLife's 'Dread Disease' cover provides financial protection to individuals following the diagnosis or treatment of an illness deemed critical. 
MetLife pays a lump sum cash amount if the insured is diagnosed with any one of the critical illnesses listed in the insurance policy.

This cash pay out can be used to:

  • Pay for the costs of the care and treatment;
  • Pay for recuperation aids;
  • Pay debts off;
  • Replace any lost income due to a decreasing ability to earn; or even
  • Fund for a change in lifestyle

 

Eligibility

All full-time permanent employees actively at work in the policyholder’s offices in the country of coverage

Participation Requirements

The Group Medical Plan is designed to cover employers with a minimum of 10 employees. Dependents are eligible for critical illness coverage. All eligible employees must be enrolled.
